T.Stanesby Sr alto in F at A = 392 & 415 and T.Stanesby Jr alto in F at A = 415 & 440

Thomas Stanesby Sr. (1668 – 1734) and his son, Thomas Stanesby Jr. (1692 – 1754) were English woodwind instrument makers, working in London in the first half of the 18th century. With Bressan, the Stanesbys were responsible for most of the finest surviving English Baroque woodwind instruments. Stanesby Sr  was apprenticed to Thomas Garrett in London in 1682 and received the Freedom of the Turners’ Company in 1691

Our copy of the Stanesby Sr. is referring to an original, belonging to a private collection, with pitch A 404. It is available with two bodies at the A = 392 & 415 Hz.
